Majority of our lessons in the second semester of the year are based on things us students wanted to learn about or how to do. One was seeing how much we spent in a normal week, and see if we'd like to re-adjust our spending lifestyle after seeing just how much we spent. In another lesson, we learned about the different parts of a check and what to write in each section. Finally, the most recent lesson teaches us about two different kinds of interest: simple interest and compound interest. Ms. Cassie explained what the difference between the two were, and how much more compound interest can affect us, whether for better or for worse.

Through these lessons, I'm able to build on my VII. Financial, Economic, and Business Literacy Skills and better improve my knowledge on how to set a budget for myself, write a check when may I need to in the future, and know to be careful when paying or buying anything with interest.
