Assignment Goals:
As we all know, COVID-19 has affected all of us, in one way or another. Because of this, Ms. Wilson, our Biology teacher, decided to make the best of it, and came up with a project for all of us students to really challenge our thinking, creativity, and cooperativeness with our peers; she put into groups to put our heads together to come up with a way that we could solve any problem made by the infamous corona virus, whether it's as big as something that could affect people on a global scale, or even if it simply helps your next-door neighbor.
Why I want to show this work:
I think this project was quite challenging that forced me to critically think of ways we could help others in this pandemic, and how exactly we can do just that. It was also fun to do the project with others, where they can also contribute ideas, you don't have to do it all on your own, and they could even bring ideas to the table that I'd never have thought of, or that could at least inspire something I come up with that I would have never thought of on my own. All in all, just working in a group is just that much more fun and less stressful on all of us.
21st century skills:
As this is a group project, I really had to use IV. Interpersonal Skills and I believe that I successfully worked on the project together with my groupmates and we were quite cooperative with one another, especially because of all of us being all-online at the time, and had to really make it work and made sure that we have everything and didn't forget anything.
Current Growth:
Like I mentioned earlier, I was able to really think critically about how I, a student, could help relieve us at least of some of the many problems we were and are facing due to the pandemic. This project's also helped me learn to really communicate well with different people, to carry responsibilities (such as completing said tasks on time) not only for me, but for my entire group, and to just depend on them as well since this is a cooperation between multiple people, where we all have our own way of doing things.
New Growth:
I mainly want to improve in my social skills; I tend to be very weird and awkward around people, especially if there are too few or too many people, I don't know how to talk to other people, which is something I really need to work on, as I have to interact and work with other people not only for school, but in real life as I get older and eventually have only myself to depend on.
